Yesterday we celebrated Children’s Day by asking some of our children and youth to help during worship. This was quite a treat and delight to see the hour unfold.
The focus was on the Lord’s Prayer. We watched a short video and created our very own praying hands craft.
Children of all ages participated in the craft using colored pencils, scissors, and glue sticks. They were given instructions and asked for help when needed. This was fun to see everyone engage and help one another.
We concluded by asking:
- What did you learn?
- What did you like?
- What was challenging?
- What do you want to take with you or ponder a little more?
It’s amazing how God continues to surprise us week after week.
May we be open to God in new ways and may we remember to enter each day with a child-like heart.
Matthew 19:14, But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”
